Sharpen your skills as a storyteller

There’s a limit to how much we can learn from storytelling by describing it. This is your  chance to jump right into the ring and hone your craft alongside a seasoned professional storyteller.

Maybe storytelling is part of your work or maybe it’s your idea of a great time. Whatever storytelling is for you, in this session you’ll be part of a story under construction. You throw in ideas, ask questions, colour in the story as it’s told. All of the stories are ones I plan to tell soon, but need to workshop live to take further.

You get the inside lane on crafting a story, I get creative ideas from outside my own skull. Many conversations during these sessions last year ended up as part of the story I finally told.

The stories being prepared are traditional spoken word stories, but the intent is to support and inspire storytellers, and indeed humans, of any kind of form.

Once we’re done with the stories, I’m available for any questions about storytelling you may have. I draw on fourteen years as teller, teacher and practitioner of story and an undimmable love of telling stories and working with people who want to take their appreciation of storytelling further.

All you need to do to sign up is pop RSVP below. I’ll then send you a link. The session is free.

“I absolutely loved storytelling swordplay! I found the process of creation very inspiring and also everybody‘s thoughts and ideas were opening up so much more levels of the story.” Verena

A note from Simon

For over a decade, storytelling has been the beating heart of my life and work. I’ve applied storytelling insights and skills in business, education, leadership development and non-profit communications. However, my deepest love and inspiration – has been for folk tales and myths that have formed European culture and held it together for thousands of years.

I want to share my experience in diving into these wells of mystery – and making sense of them for modern life – so that you’ll become a better storyteller.
